Industrial Medical Oxygen Plant

We manufacture and supply oxygen plant for meeting the needs of medical and industrial applications. Our O2 gas plant is made with ASME certified materials and world-class components procured from the leading EU-based OEMs. Benchmarking of our quality is done as per EU standards for superior performance, reliability and durability. Our air separation column is made with 100% German stainless steel with argon welding. Made with the latest cryogenic technology, our oxygen plant generates O2 with purity up to 99.7%, which is adequate for all types of applications including medical. Main uses including steel, chemical, pharmaceuticals & biotech, paper & pulp, glass & ceramics, etc.

Why We need Oxygen

Primarily, we require oxygen for respiration without which we cannot survive beyond a couple of minutes. On breathing the air oxygen binds with hemoglobin in the bloodstream in the lungs and is transported to every cell in the body where food we eat is oxidized releasing energy. This aspects of O2 is finds application all biomedical application. In industrial applications, it is used for sustaining combustion processes as you see in the steel and chemical industries. It is necessary because the combustion process in the steel industry require high temperatures. And, in the chemical industry high temperature is required for bringing about the reactions.

Uses of Oxygen

Oxygen is used in wide range of industries. However, it is steel industry which accounts for 55% of commercially produced oxygen. It is needed for enabling the reaction that converts carbon into carbon dioxide in the steel making process. CO2 formed is helpful in the reduction of iron oxides resulting in high purity of the steel. It is also used in making Oxy-acetylene torched. In the chemical industry, the nonmetallic element is extensively used in reactions requiring oxidation. In the aerospace industry, it is crucial in the making of rocket propulsion systems where O2 is used in its liquid form. There are numerous other industries in which it plays a major role including waste water treatment, glassware & ceramics, petroleum, medical, etc.

Types of Oxygen

Oxygen is produced and used in two forms—gaseous oxygen (GOX) and liquid oxygen (LOX). Both the forms of O2 have different characteristics and applications which are discussed briefly below:

Gaseous Oxygen

Oxygen is primarily used in its gaseous state. It is a colorless, odorless and tasteless gas. It is found in gaseous state at the temperature of 20 degree Celsius. GOX is highly compressed gas and is delivered in oxygen cylinders. However, it requires expert handling in its storage, transportation and maintenance. Strict safety protocols need to be strictly implemented.

Liquid Oxygen

Liquid oxygen is cryogenic liquid, which is defined as any liquefied gas with a normal boiling point below below –130°F (–90°C). LOX with boiling point of –297°F (–183°C), which is steeply below –130°F (–90°C) qualifies as a cryogenic liquid. It has pale bluish color and is tasteless and odorless.

How to Produce Oxygen

There are primarily two methods which are mostly used for producing oxygen for industrial and medical purposes. These techniques are known as cryogenic distillation and pressure swing adsorption (PSA). Both are described below:

Cryogenic Distillation

This process starts with taking atmospheric air which is then filtered and compressed in the air compressor. Next, the air is passed though a purification unit where impurities like hydrocarbons, carbon dioxide and water vapors are removed. Then, the air is passed through heat exchangers it is cooled to cryogenic temperatures. Then, it is passed through a high pressure distillation column where oxygen is separated from nitrogen and other elements with oxygen forming at the bottom of the column. Oxygen is collected and distilled in the low pressure distillation column for achieving the required purity.

Pressure Swing Adsorption(PSA)

PSA process is used for separating oxygen gas from the atmospheric air using a synthetic Zeolite Molecular Sieve for absorption of nitrogen. With nitrogen being collected in the pore system of Zeolite, oxygen gas is generated as a product. The process makes use of two vessels with Zeolite Molecular sieve as adsorbers. When the compressed air moves through one of the adsorbers, nitrogen gas is adsorbed in the molecular sieve allowing remaining oxygen to pass through the adsorber and get collected as a product gas. PSA plants or generators are now being widely used for onsite production of oxygen.

Liquid Oxygen Plant

Advanced cryogenic technology is employed in the manufacturing of liquid oxygen plant with precision designing for ensuring seamless performance without any interruption. All of our liquefied gas generation units are fabricated with cryogenic grade materials with ASME, CE and EIGA standards. Built with argon welding and high grade stainless steel, our customers can remain assured of world-class performance with minimum maintenance, low power consumption and low operational costs with a life-cycle over 25 years.

Manufactured in broad range of capacities, we provide the LOX plants in capacities ranging from 10liter/hr to 1000liter/hr. High customizable the plants can be configured easily to the requirements of the customers. Functioning of LOX products is based on cryogenic distillation which is known for generating oxygen with purity up to 99.7%. Quality and solid performance is ensured because fabricating of the products is done with components from the best companies. Air compressors are bought from Atlas Copco, a Swedish company. ZEOCHEM molecular sieves from Switzerland are used. Entire operation of the plant is automated with PLC system of Siemens needing few manual inputs.

Oxygen Gas (GOX) Plant

We are a reputed engineering company known for manufacturing oxygen gas plants in different capacities ranging from 10m3/hr to 1000m3/hr. Manufactured with the latest cryogenic technology, our entire product is trusted for delivering seamless, reliable and durable performance. GOX plants are equipped to generate high quality oxygen with purity up to 99.7%, which is considered adequate for industrial and medical applications. Only the ASME quality materials are used in the fabricating which can withstand extreme pressure and temperatures. Our company is ISO9001:2015 and CE certified thus guaranteeing efficient performance for years.

We use only the best quality components sourced from the reputed companies in Europe. Atlas Copco air compressors are used in the fabricating along with argon welding. High grade stainless steel column is used. In fact, all components are sourced only from the well-known OEMS companies mostly based in Germany, Denmark and Switzerland. Being fully automated, the plants can be operated and controlled from the control center by a single operator. Minimum manual intervention is required in changing oils etc. The system sounds an alert when oxygen level goes below the level specified & shuts down the operation.
